A good proportion of what CUSU LGBT does as an organisation beyond welfare and socials comes under the heading of campaigns, and as the Campaigns Officer it is my job to ensure that these things run as smoothly as possible. As well as overseeing the headline “Think Outside The Box” and “Bloody Unfair” campaigns (about which more can be read on the campaigns page), I help facilitate the running of more small-scale events where other exec members need a campaigns-related gopher. One of my aims for this year is (in conjunction with the Trans Rep) to focus on producing trans-ally-relevant material we can disseminate to help promote understanding of what can be difficult issues to tackle, even for the most well-intentioned.
