Last week of term, yay! This should be the last LISTINGS of the year, but if you are going to be around over the summer, I suggest you join up to the vac list here: http://www.lgbt.cusu.cam.ac.uk/mailing-lists/ I’ll send an email out to that list whenever there are events to tell you about. If you want to publicise an event over the summer (or indeed at any point), just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
If this is your last week ever at Cambridge, you might want to look at the LGBT+ Alumni network (details below).
I hope those of you went to the Rainbow Ball enjoyed it – I did and everyone looked lovely. While I’m sure you’re super busy this week, if you fancy another night out Spectrum is on this Wednesday (with a drinks giveaway) and there are details of other events below, after a few notices. These include the London Pride parade on the 29th.
If you are leaving, CONGRATULATIONS and GOOD LUCK! If not, see you next year!
GARDEN PARTY – a note from Ents & Socials:
Hey everyone, we’re really sorry that the garden party was cancelled this year – unfortunately we just didn’t have enough time to put the event together. We’re sorry to everyone who was looking forward to coming, but we hope that you all had a great night at the Rainbow Ball! The official photos from the night are due to be posted on the CUSU LGBT+ Facebook page in the next few days. We hope everyone is having an amazing May Week and has a great summer. (See below for Grad Picnic details.)
Congratulations to all finalists!
The Cambridge LGBT Alumni Network is fairly new and pretty unstructured, but it’s here for anybody who wants to connect with other LGBT+ Cambridge alumni. Whether or not you were out or active at university, you can use this group to meet people for the first time, to network, or just to see what people are up to.
In 2013 we’re running a pre-London Pride brunch before heading to the parade on 29 June, and we’re also running our first LGBT Cambridge Freshers’ Party in September.
Have a look at our website www.cambridgelgbtalumni.com and join the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/309977339109260/. If you don’t want to publicly join, but you do want to be involved, email email@example.com.
Some students will be ordering chest binders from Lesloveboat, which has quite high shipping costs, and so would like to ask people uni-wide if they would like to get in on this to save everyone a bit of money. Check the website, pick the binder you want and email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up payment by the end of Friday 21st, that’s THIS FRIDAY, and email if you have any questions about the different models.
